The Kentucky Welfare Reform Evaluation is being conducted by the University of Louisville's Kent School of Social Work and the Urban Studies Institute under a contract with the Kentucky Cabinet for Families and Children. Reports and information about the evaluation, as well as other information about welfare reform are available through this web site.

The evaluation draws upon three major data sources:
  • Administrative Records from 15 different administrative databases.
  • Panel Surveys based on data collected from annual interviews with people who were receiving K-TAP cash assistance when originally sampled for this study. (In 2001 it included 1014 respondents)
  • Discontinued Surveys of people who had stopped receiving K-TAP payments or were extended due to reaching the 60 month time limit.

Reports and findings from these three data sources, as well as other information related to welfare reform are available from this web site.
